i am getting ready to trade off my 7.3

and get a 6.0 i went and looked at it today and drove it... it only has 10,000 miles on it... not a single scratch or dent... it has twice the hp of my truck or atleast it feels alot stronger and it is a 06 model reg cab long bed... i kinda want extended cab but it is all good... any reasons i should keep my 7.3???

In March I got rid of my 7.3 and bought a 2005 6.0 CC DRW 4x4. It was a nice and powerful truck when it ran. After 5 break downs in 6 weeks and the dealer not knowing what was wrong, I traded it for a 2008 F-450. So far I haven't regretted the new one but the 2005 left me wanting my 7.3 back.

My company is in the market for new work vans, we need diesels and ford is our choice. So far, 99% of the dealers actually tell us not to buy the 6.0 too many problems. My local dealership just ended up buyin 5 6.0's back from lemon law and what not. Can't beat the 7.3's IMO- most will agree

Think about it do you want some crazy loan payment probably for five years plus insurance.

You could fix and mod your truck up good with that kinda bread

The biggest complaint I have heard of the 6.4 is the fuel economy. The regenerations burn fuel that takes away from the average mpg. I have been getting around 16 mpg on the highway and 12 mpg while towing my fifth wheel. This is with 4.30 gears and an automatic. The new truck pulls like there is little there when the fifth wheel weighs about 14000 lbs.

the ranch I have the maintenance contract for might be looking for another truck, so me offering won't work. If you come up with a price pm me and I will present it to them. I am trying to get them away from the automatic transmissions.
