May-June all topic thread

I noticed tojoski said we have no may all topic thread and with may kinda winding down I figured I would make it a may and june all topic thread. Dont really know how to start this off so I will just start by telling how things are going around here...

I'm done with school for the summer, I am now a senior . I got me a couple of jobs, I work at O'Riellys and Jodys muffler and auto center. Black is just basically sitting in front of my house slowly leaking oil and still in need of some 33 or 35 inch tires, cant really drive it though b/c I have no tags or insurance. Today though I did use her to pull my jetski about 50 yards down the road to the boat ramp. The F1 is doing good, no problems or anything but I think it is about time to change her oil. Going to chunk the rear two cats on it whenever I get time to make a couple of pipes to replace them with. Everything else is going good, except for gas prices . Jumped to 3.99 in hacket today! Luckily it was only 3.89 in bonanza witch is right down the road.

Thats about it.

Looks great Joe!

I had a nasty weekend last. About 300 miles from the house the intake manifold (plastic) on the Merc decided to split wide open and dump all my coolant on the interstate. Got my FIL to come get us and then I drove from St. Louis to home to get the truck and trailer....slept 4 hours and then drove back to St. Louie for my nieces graduation, then came back and loaded the car on the trailer and pulled it home.

For the record that's 35 hours elapsed time. 4 hours sleeping, 2 hours visiting, and 29 hours driving.

Oh...and I took Monday of to fix the car. New intake manifold from AZ is $271 out the door and comes with all the seals and a new thermostat. It's about a 4 hour job on the 4.6

No doubt. The replacement manifold has a cast aluminum water jacket bolted to the plastic.....evidently it was a recall item some time back.

If it was a real recall the dealership MIGHT give you money for it. My dad had something similar happen. He bought a Dodge van and the cat went out in it. He found out that it had a recall on it and got his $300 some dollars back. It is worth a try right?!

My truck broke down Friday in Maumelle while pulling my 5er. Lost power on the interstate, took the next off ramp, died on the ramp and I coasted into a lot where it would not start again. Changed fuel filters, etc and still nothing. 100 miles from home. Called BIL to tow trailer and wrecker to tow truck. Now I have to wait till Tuesday for my mechanic to look at it. I am no mechanic on anything by minor things.

Hello from Louisiana. I am planning to visit your great state again soon. My wife is ready to go back to Hot Springs. We have went the last few years and love it. I tried to talk her into moving around there but she wouldn't go for it. I love the area.

Well....why don't you bring her up the weekend of June 7th. You could stop by the chapter GTG for some BBQ, then take her on up to Hot Springs for dinner.

Man did it flood anywere else yesterday? It flooded in fort smith yesterday morning. I had to drive through it on my way to work. It was kinda fun. Felt sorry for some cars that drowned. It was too deep for cars. The few I saw the water was over there headlights.

We'd love to have you if you can make it...and I understand if you cant.

Nope....no floods here. It rained most of the night, but mostly just spit and sputter. Didn't amount to much.
