anyone seen a truck like this?
I know the car-show season is in full swing and maybe even N.E.Ohio will warm up some day. Still 49 degrees TODAY-crap!
O.K. Here is the discription---1956 F100 short bed. 383 AND 727 Auto. trans.,and from a 1966 dodge charger. It may be 2 tone maroon as I was told by man I sold it to. It was originally a 223 6 cyl. with 3 on the tree. and was meadow-green and white trim. Not a custom-cab.
It was from youngstown,Ohio and sold to a truck driver in Dubois,Pa.,and then it went to Clearfield,Pa. Some last names are-Grant/Murterer?/Tabor--as far as I know.
This truck may be elsewhere, but was my 1st truck, and I would like to find it,again. Please look around and it may still be out there.--THANKS ALL Bill

Bill, good luck in finding your truck again. That would be cool.
One thought I have--I have used CARFAX to find info on a much more recent vehicle. Does anyone know if CARFAX will pick up older vehicles? Would you be able to get the actual current registered owner's name and or address?
Just a thought.
Duane.

Good luck, Bill. I know a lot of folks that wish they still had their first vehicle. I can honestly say "I do". My Dad gave me a 1964 Datsun L320 PU when I was only 11 y/o, and I still have it. I look at it occasionally and think that I should do something with it, but it will probably be a lawn ornament for years to come.

OMG!!!! I really didn't think anyone would even know what a L320 was! Now if mine looked that good, I would drive it regularly. My main problem would be the distance between the seat and the steering wheel though, they were designed for a midget. But boy can I remember some good times when it was running.......

That would be one wild ride, mine at one time had a 2.6 V6 out of a German built Capri with a 4 speed. It did well for what it was. After seeing that pic, my other half says she wants me to fix it up for her to drive. Oh my, another project started.....

Interestingly, the Datsun 1200 in-block cam motor was exactly based on the 1500 that was in the MGA. You could put the 1200 head on the 1500, boosting compression, and was a big boost in horsepower...
