Replacing clutch on 91 F150

Need some advise...I am replacing the clutch in my 1991 F150 5.8L 302 4x4 truck. I have replaced 3 clutches in much older vehicles, but never in a 4x4. After reading Chilton's think I might be over my head. Are there any short cuts I can take or should avoid?!

clutch is the same thing in a 4X4 as a not-a-4X4..just one extra heavy piece behind the tranny..or if you prefer, and some do.. pull the motor, and reseal the bottom end while it's out.

Are there any short cuts I can take or should avoid?!

Never take a shortcut if you can do it right the first time...if you have a good understanding and some mechanical ability, (and a good jack) it is not any farther over your head than a 4X2...
