It's not the fan so much as the fit. You don't want a unit that will rub a hole in the radiator.

That's pretty much what I'm asking about. So no one has any recommendations?

Hey Steve,
I just got a kit from Troyer.
Make sure it comes with the new mounting system!
My kit came with 2 ways to mount the fan. 1 is the things you push through the rad and the other was a bracket that bolted on top of the fans and on bottom of them.
With the brackets on top and bottom,,,there are no worries about hurting the rad!
Troyer Performance

Hey phil. I was looking at what they had and was thinking about the duel fan system, though that's a bit more $$$ than I was looking to spend. How is the fan shroud that comes with the kit as that's 1 of my big concerns. Thanks!

The only shroud is what you see,,,just around the fan.
It is very expensive!!!
I'm sure you could find a less expensive kit that would be just as good!

I went with a LFP single 16" fan with full shroud at first. Worked great for a wile then started having problems with relays/tep sensors.
So I got rid of it and just had the Troyer fan installed.
The kit came with 2 16" fans. Works good but haven't had much chance to test it myself... Trucks been down for a Wile!!!

Thanks,
originally,,,a blown head gasket.
Had the motor out to fix it so figured Id upgrade heads and cams.
It was ready to go and one of the new valve springs broke,,,dropped the valve in the cylinder.
Now I need a new piston.

I'm using the twin fan set-up. I've had it now for over 3 years and like it a lot. The truck is a lot quiteter. The only downside is that when it's over a 100 degrees outside the AC doesn't cool as well when parked.

Thanks Dan! Not so worried about a/c sitting still, what with gas prices and all! Did you get yours from Troyer as well?
