Hey everyone. I will be visiting Oklahoma in 2 weeks and staying in Moore. Might be going to a car show in Woodward as well I think. I will also be traveling down to Idabel. So I have a few questions. Do any of you know some good junkyards in those areas for 73-79 ford truck parts? Also is there anything else of interest I should check out since I will be there for 10 days? Thanks
Moore is close to Oklahoma city. There are several museums there along with some night life. There is a new diner on route 66 that serves any type of pop that you can imagine. Haven't been there yet, but the reviews sound pretty good.

Cool. Thanks for the response. Are you refering to Pop's on Rt. 66? They sell alot of different soda in bottles. I've been there. Cool place to check out. I will look into the museums.
Yes, That's the place. One of these days we will make it out there.

Bricktown is pretty cool nowadays, you should check that out they have canal rides through bricktown, there are alot of restaurants and clubs...now they have riverboat rides on the oklahoma river, although im not sure how exciting that could be, since there isnt anything built by the river yet...bricktown is about 15 minutes from moore, any local can tell you how to get there....as for salvage yards, 73-79's are getting harder to find in them, i know i have two 76's....one place that usually has something is Carey's Triple C salvage on South Eastern ave....its actually in south okc, but Eastern runs north and south right through moore (known as Toby Keith ave in moore), you can drive north on it from moore about 6 or 7 miles, and it will bring you right to it....its between se 44th and se 36th on eastern ave on the east side of the road...there is a pullapart in south okc too, but its hard to find parts there, even though they usually have 10-15 73-79's at one time....be aware, moore is in central oklahoma, woodward in in far northwest oklahoma close to the panhandle, it would be a 2-3 hour drive for that carshow......

Swokc thanks for the directions and suggestions. Decided against the car show due to gas prices. Will cost enough to drive to Idabel and Broken Bow which is totally in opposite direction. I will definitely check out the places you suggested for parts. If I find any other places with stuff while in OK I'll let you know which places have stuff. Thanks again.

Trip went really well. Had a great time. I went to the Pull-A-Part you told me about and scored a bunch of cool things, like Mickey Thompson valve covers, cargo light, chrome molding for under my back window around cab, radio antenna, random wiring harnesses I can use, and glovebox light.
