Any good auto shop or 4x4 shop should be able to get you new U-bolts. I'm sure you can get the specs from them.

Matt,

You have had issues with these coming loose before...something is NOT right...if they were over-tightened and stretched...you will NEVER hold proper pre-load and torque...

Get new U-Bolts, washers and nuts for your rear-end.

Joe.

The ubolts arent the problem. They are new (came with the lift kit) but the lift kit DIDNT come with new nuts that hold the ubolts together on the rear axle. I have heated those nuts 2 or 3 times and the nylon in them is melted. So thats the culprit. I was tryin to get the specs because i watned to try and get them from like a hardware store or autozone for cheaper. But i couldnt wait any longer with this rear end problem (this is the 5th time my rear end came loose in 1 month) and its unsafe. So i ordered from the stealership. The nuts should be here on tues. Wish me luck on drivin the truck around until this tues LOL. Ill let you guys kno how it goes!

BTW, 2 nuts on the pass side are striped. So their for, i have only 6 nuts outta the 8 holdin on the rear end to the leaf springs.

Matt,

I think I have a solution to your problem...

Check out my lastest post...

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...tallation.html

I'm going to guess the u-bolts used for the F350 spacer block mod will do the trick for your problem.

Let me know!!

Yeah, I noticed your bumper too. That stinks. Is it twisted as the driver side seems to be fitting flush?

I ran over a hybrid and as it was comin out from under my car the thing caught my rear bumper! LOL

Actually, i was at my buddies house ripping trees out of his yard because they wanted to remodel the front yard. So after like the 15th tree/bush that was pulled out, we reached a tree that was twenty feet tall. So we loosen up the roots with an ax, and pull the tree out with the Ex. So after that we had a big tree in his drive way which me and my buddie together couldnt move. So i go inside to get a drink and i come out and hear my truck runnin. I see that he has backed up to the tree (he wanted to pull the tree into the street). He hooked the tow rope to the trunk of the tree to the hitch. It turns out that he backed up up way to close to the tree that the roots caught the rear bumper and mind you, these roots are very think (were a bitch to cut with the ax). So anyways, i didnt see that and i tell him to go cause everything was hooked up to the hitch. So he goes, and i hear a bunch of metal screaching! lol so thats how my bumper was ripped off and that happened a year and a half ago. So i soon will replace it (hopefully) with a ranchand rear bumper replacement.Im just looking for some time and some extra money to replace it with.

Now alls i have to do is get the front end aligned. The rear end being loose destroyed the alignment. Ill probget that done when i lift the rear end 2 more inchs (so its one inch higher then the front). Right now, the rear end is 2 inchs lower then the front end. The lift kid company gave me the wrong blocks lol. Ill have to get the rear end lifted before i get it aligned because if i get the alignment first and then lift the rear end 2 more inchs, the alignment will then go bad again. No sense in having two alignments lol.

I think your old pal should chip in for the bumper as he remodeled your Ex instead of the front yard.
