No it's sick. It's my kids college education withering away. It's more robberies and violence. Remember, as fuel prices rise, so does our entire way of life as food and other necessities change too.

And at 10 bucks a gallon, it wouldn't matter if ya owned a hybrid or not.

OMG COULD YOU EVEN IMAGINE! With a diesel, v-10 and a 5.5 plowing, fill up would be 1000.$$ CRICKY

Some of the villages have seen $13.00 a gal up here. We are supposed to be over $6.00 a gal when the spring barge comes up after the river breaks up.

For $10/gallon, I'd build a cabin out in the woods, plant a garden, and hunt for meat. Completely isolate myself from the outside world...It would be 1808 all over again

Not really, you just need the right one. This one's prototype diesel got 230 MPG in testing. The improved gas one is supposed to get 330 MPG.

if gas gets to 10$ a gallon, then diesel will be around 13$ or more, with a 42 gallon tanks, that will be over 540$ to fill up.

I think im going to start training for long distance bike riding. The tour de france will have more competition if this happens.

I dont think that the economy could suport 10 dollar gas prices. There would become a time that supply and demand would have to take a balance and oil will have to come into some sort of check. Just my thoughts or hope. But cant imagine fuels being that much. Everybodys wages will have to double and I dont see that happening. The trickle down would be alot worse than the oil price alone..

I just saw an article by Newsweek that said we NEED $6 a gallon gas to decrease our dependence on gas... WTF is wrong with people who say crap like this?

If gas gets that high within a few years, that little thing is looking very good.

I think its time for America to adopt the scooter and motorcycle. Like our neighbors. I am currently saving up for my Hardly or Honda. I will be the first to say that yes I make a good living and I could drive my truck everyday. But I do not like tossing my money over a fire. I will not give up my truck I enjoy the comfort and power. But for a daily driver I think we all need to park them and switch to something much more economic. If it gets up to 6 bucks or more a gallon then I will have no choice. My monthly income has not increased one time during this entire gas issue. So I make the same and gas goes up something will have to give sooner or later.

tit for tat

There is a movement afoot with many of our Congress members and it goes like this. OK, we now understand (statements to Arab Emerates and Saudi Arabia) you can control fuel prices and you also must understand we have what you want, arms! Guess we need to make some better business deals...how much are you going to charge per barrel.....our barrels increase in price also or simply are not available to you anymore. Cut them off from what they need and watch the rats run from the ships. Call or write your Senators and Congressmen and let them know it is time to bring home the sheep, the wolf is getting to close.
