So sorry to hear of this. My heart goes out to you and everyone touched by this terrible loss.

18 is too young to die. In my experience it was also too young to know that some stupid stunts will end badly. Some do, just like your parents tell you they will.

If you get to be my age, you realize that you are not unbreakable. Maybe you get to look back and thank God you were lucky, by which time you are probably also praying that your own child has better sense, or good luck, or both.

I hope your story helps all the other younger guys here realize that the barrier between a stupid stunt and an awful tragedy is about as strong as a wet tissue. Play hard, but play safe. At least once in a while, be the guy who says "That's gonna get us killed. I'm out!"

I am very sorry for the loss of your friend. I have been a Firefighter/Paramedic for 15 years in a very busy system out here in the Wild West, and have seen this happen many times to young people.

Best wishes and prayers to the families.
Just remember that you cant blame yourself, they chose to do this.
Im only 19, and i've done plenty of stupid S***, some of which should have probably killed me, and my friends.

Thoughts and prayers from Idaho to all involved.

I know there's a lot of miles between here and there, but if there's anything I can do you those involved, say the word and I'll do what I can.

Time heals all wounds, but until then, it hurts. God bless.

As stated before me.. sorry to hear about the loss.. I have been a firefighter/EMT for 17 years and wish I could say Ive only seen this type of accident once, but I cant.. from experience you might (or I should say. SHOULD) look into some CISD for yourself.. I ran a call were a friend died on my bike.. and I was given the same advice Im giving you..

BE STRONG.. fraternally IAFF brother..
