i'm looking for the vin code on the frame for dmv. anybody know where it could be?

 

I have been all over the frame on my truck and have never seen a vin number. Sorry

 

I don't think they individualized frames like that back then, but I could be wrong.

 

DMV's & Law Enforcement have required hidden serial numbers & VIN's on vehicles since the 1920's.

Look on the top of right frame rail just in front of the cab.

Ford has stamped it there since the 1950's.

A wire brush will be required to remove rust, dirt, you name it.

Sometimes Ford lightly stamped the VIN, so it can be tough to see.

 

Mine is located on the top of the passenger side frame rail near the passenger door. I found it doing a frame-off. You can only see it with the cab off or with a small mirror.
