I wonder if there were different mufflers used during the 2007 production run. My '07 FX4 is very throaty for a stock exhaust system. It was built in June of 2007 at the Dearborn plant, if it makes any difference

Funny, my 04 has an MRBP exhaust and sounds like a pissed off mustang. I think it was built before yours......

My 08 Lariat sounds identical to my neighbors 08 FX4. Muffler looks the same too. Has a nice sound to it. You can tell it has a V8 in it.

I have not looked at one, but I've been told the 08 mufflers are smaller than previous models.
