Interchangable Parts for 59

Hey there, new to the site and need some help. Can anyone tell me what parts will interchange with my 59 F100. This was my Dad's truck and I would like to start restoring it. The guys my Dad got it from made it into a 4x4 and then my Dad put a F250 cab on it for the big back window. What I need is the windshield and passenger door window glass for the F250 cab and a tailgate for the F100 box. Was at the junk yard today and they had alot of these trucks from 1957 thru 1960's with good glass but no 59's and they didn't know if they'd interchange or not. Also had a 61 with a tailgate. Just need to know what will fit. Looks like people here have alot of experience and knowledge on these trucks, thought maybe I could find some help.

Some of the 61-63's had the same bed and tailgate as the 57-60's if the bed seems to not have the same lines as a 1965 F100 it is a 57-60 bed and if it is good you are in luck

Now this is for Informational purpasses so you know the Body Differences between the '57-'58 year sets & the '59-'60 year sets.

"The '57-'58 F/M-series trucks will swap perfectly between themselves & '59-'60 F/M-series trucks will swap perfectly between themselves, But not between the two Sets of Year Models.

The '57-'58s F/M-series trucks have the ROUND Turn Signals, the Wider Lower Fender section for the Round T/S, Taller Grille, Narrower Grille/Vallance set-up & Shallow Peak Hood.

The '59-'60s F/M-series trucks have the RECTANGULAR Turn Signals, Narrower Lower Fenders for the Rectangular T/S, Shorter Grille, Wider Grille/Vallance set-up & Progresively Deeper Peak & Taller Upper Sections on the Hoods.

Because of these Body changes between year Sets, if one wishes to incorporate singular Front Cap parts from either of the 2 Year Sets, one has a Great deal of Body work ahead of themselves to do, because it will be necessary to either Fill-in the Gaps between the Sheet Metal or get rid of Sheet Metal no longer needed from the swap.

Plus the Peaks on the '59-'60 Hood are To Deep for a Proper fit w/ the '57-'58 Grilles, as they will not close or if one manages to force the fit, they'll Rub horridly.

The only way to avoid this is either to leave your truck the way it came out of the Factory or Swap-out the Complete Front Cap between the 2 Year Sets."

For Interiors, besides the Black ('57-'58) & White ('59-'60) *****, the '57-'58s had Horn Buttons (H/B) & the '59-'60s had Horn Rings (H/R).

Mechanicals, Frames, Cabs, Interiors (except for ***** & h/b's) are all intechangable between the '57-'60 years models (except for the front caps between the '57-'58 year sets & the '59-'60 years sets).

There is a difference between the '57-'58 years sets & the '59-'60 years sets, as the individual sheet metal pieces will not interchange between the two years set for the Front Caps. Please read my above response to 1154 concerning this matter.

That's quite true, but most owners don't have to much a problem w/ that once they acquired the Proper year truck shop manual, which is the First thing any Owner of the '57-'60, "Orphan Years" trucks should procure for themselves.

I think the front fenders on an F250/350 may have larger wheel openings then the F100 if it`s like the 53-56 series.

Not that I've ever seen, as my brothers '58 F-350 front fenders measures exactly to the specs of my '58 M-100 front fenders.

E-Bay is the easiest place to find the Individual year's '57, '58, '59 & '60 Truck Shop Manuals.
