Hey royzell
I'm getting this on my 088 ATS kit (T04B turbocharger)
1500 = 1-2 psi
2000 = 5 psi
2500 = 7-8 psi
not sure above that
Those #s are with a slight amount of smoke. I'd love to see 7 psi at 1500 RPM, although anything better than what I have would be cool. Frankly I would be tempted to use a powerstroke turbo if I thought it would build some high boost numbers and just limit the fuel flow to prevent overboosting. But after reading about royzell's experience I think I have a LOT more reading to do.
I have seen 14 PSI when I first put the turbo in and I was still messing with the fuel screw, but that would change the weather if I stuck my boot in it (if you know what I mean).

I need to adjust my pump as well. About 2 weeks after the turbo went on, the pump went out. The replacement added more go, but hurt my mileage. The shop in Victoria that supplied it said it was for a turbo, but I never knew if that meant for a '94 IDI, or just turned up. I get black almost all the time, and about 14 mpg. Some dry Saturday when the wife and kids aren't home I'm going to try turning back 1 flat.

Yeah I have the light black almost constantly.
And the not so light blackout conditions are not far away.
Today when I ran out at lunch I took off a bit hard with a Mack beside me.
When the big black rolled out both stacks, the Mack put it's tail between it's legs.
With 4.20 fuel, I try not to do that, but mistakes happen when you are eating and shifting gears.
I should probably back the fuel down some, but I know I won't be happy if I do.

Four Inch Exhaust
I got the banks kit on my truck,pyrometer,and boost gauge. I figure I'll weld on a four inch pipe with a short straight section then up to a stack behind the passenger side. Let it breathe out. These motors are huge and 3" exhaust's can be found on toyota's!! I'm thinking just big and medium length. I know back in the day hotrod/ chopper builders used to cut off the pipes at the point where they turned blue and started to cool down. I cant wait to recycle a 85 ford tommorow, and a couple other car's i got down in the brushj. steel prices are up, and i've had my eye on some 4 inch exhaust. anybody heard of large exhaust on 6.9's? Also without a tube bender can i just weld wedge shaped peices to make a curve. A little kinky but problaby badass after you grind it all down and spray paint it flat black!
