Got a 5spd for it. Went to Pull a part and got pedals. Just need to pick up clutch/bearing, etc to do the conversion some time in the near future.

BTW, the 5spd was a '92 version with no speedo. Oops. I will be doing some machine work to the tailhousing to permit my '89 cable to be used. Pulled transmission apart and found worn 3-4 fork so that is getting replaced too. Looks like someone drove around in 4th gear with their hand on the shifter. Not a good thing to do with these boxes. This was a steel fork and it was paper thin. They offer an alum fork and I could see a real problem with those.

Started working on a lead for a donor truck. 1 ton axles and a 460 swap. Things might be getting interesting here in the coming months.

I'm averaging 10 with a 351 so I might as well have more power for the poor economy. Plus it isn't my daily anymore so mileage really doesn't matter.

Fuel pump relay the other night. Thought it might be pumps, but got lucky. Was even lucky enough to make it home before it failed.

Pressure washed both trucks today, they were pretty nasty from driving the back roads of PA.

Today I dropped the rear tank and replaced fuel pump assembly (never worked since i have owned it). Last week did starter, cables, solenoid, water pump, hoses, changed the oil, and changed the rear diff fluid.

Painted the bottom with bed liner to help protect it from rocks and mud. got new bed rails to clean up the top, and put in new turn and parking light lenses to replace the old cracked ones.
