Still trying to figure out why my A/C vents work intermittently. I've checked everything I could and everything looks OK.

Got new transmission cooler lines bent out by a shop today. $75... Not bad considering the guy at the shop, that my son took his truck to, said that the transmission was blown because it wouldn't go in gear.

Maybe he should have checked the fluid level first. The transmission was 1.5 gallons low on trans fluid.

Also picked up 4 gallons of coolant, 4 gallons of distilled water, 2 pints of SCA, thermostat, fuel filter, transmission filter and gasket, and some Diesel Kleen... can anyone guess what I'm doing this weekend?

on the 92 worked pretty much all day.
sanded down the fender flares.
painted part of the frame
wire brushed all the way to the cab of the frame.
removed the fuel tank and welded the last cross member and reinstalled the fuel tank.
aligned the hood correctly the best we could being it has a bent cheapo repro hood hinge. I have to OEM hood hinges around the yard trying to get my dad to let me install them.
painted the rear bumper
straightened the front bumper
removed the wheels and painted them white again and checked the brakes:
no brakes in the right rear, left rear has wrong drum, right front rotor is cracked. So it needs all new brakes.
Also found a busted Universal joint (no bearings in the end caps)
painted the calipers red
and removed the sway bar that was hanging. Not sure where it mounts but I don't need it.

Loaded her up with split wood and moved it down a rough backcountry road. Heaped it in the bed and that leveled her out, so I guess my new springs are working well! That used to put her to the bump stops... Then did some wheelin to get out, dropped the passenger side front tire off a root ledge a little too quickly and dented the rocker panel a bit--oops. Pretty tired of the little tires with all season tread, total joke tires off road.

When I got my truck a few months ago, the red or black trim piece was missing on the tailgate. I scoured ebay and craigslist and finally found a local piece for $50. The aluminum was dented and scratched but the black portion was in good shape.

So, today I performed some surgery on the two pieces using the aluminum that came on my F150 and the black piece that came on the craigslist part. Here's how it ended up: (the flamingo reflection is kind of growing on me )

look good! Are those just stock rims painted or powercoated?

The chrome lug nuts is a nice touch on the black!

Replaced the lock on my spare tire carrier. Somehow it snapped last night and I dropped my spare in the middle of the street.

They are the original stock rims, I just sanded them down and repainted them with Rustoleum.
