If your running a solid cam you dont have as much room as you would with a hyd cam. I would make sure that when you find a certain length you check it on multiple cylinders to make sure you come up with the same number. It could screw ya up when you set your lash.

 

Fortunately for now I will be running a hyd cam, my only concern will be with the change to studs and the harland sharp rollers, what will I need for pushrod length.. I need to put her together and see....

 

thats what sucks about it.

you have to assemble over half the engine then wait 2 days for jegs/summit to send you the pushrods you need. Other option is pay $35 to have them overnighted but youre still waiting.

 

wow , interesting responce from lots of people, just get a adjustable pushrod checker from any quality parts supplier and try to keep the roller tip onto the valve stem as close
possible to the centre of the valve stem during complete engine rotation , this is a
sometimes time consuming job, pushrod length/rocker arm height/ length are all things
that can change angles so have fun and sit down and get it done
