FMJ Bedliner....anybody heard of them or have them?

Has anybody heard of have Full Metal Jacket bedliner? I saw these adds on craigslist and called to get a quote, it seems like a gread deal. I was EVENTUALLY going to go with lineX as soon as i could save up 550, but this seems more reasonable. I was wondering if anybody has gotten work done from them?

Hey if the US marines use it???

350 it is almost all labor the bed line is about 100 retial and 250 for labor, how much is your time and effort worth to you? i am doing a hurculiner in my truck, i got the "paint" the rollers and brush for $100, i cant see spending 250 to have someone else do it for me...but as far as bedliners go that is a fair price i might even say a good price. it looked a little smoth for my tast i woudl want something with a little more grit to it then that.

I really couldn't say - looks like a good way to go from the ad, but most ads do look good.
Maybe if you ask them to see a completed product or turn you to someone who has had one installed, you could see how they hold up.

Yeah i talked to him on the phone, and he mostly does fleet vehicles for Mossy Toyota & Mossy Ford, as well as a few other dealers. So he will show me one of those. I have an apt monday, i will let you guys know how it goes.

I thought about it, but i am just too nervous to do something. Once you start you cannot stop, plus its permanent. I have also heard mixed reviews about the do it yourself liners. Plus i like the lifetime warranty that most spray on places offer. From what i read it has to do with the type polyurethane & polyurea in the product that determines strength and texture??? But then again i am posting this to get more info and advice since i dont know too much about it

UPDATE w/ Pics!!!

So i got the bedliner on a few days ago. The whole process went smooth. I ended up only paying 350 cash with tax for above the rails. The whole process took maybe 2-3 hours. Here are some before and after pics of my truck. They guy actually rents a space from Mossy Ford! I just called him when i rolled up to the service dept and he met me there and we drove back to his shop.

The Before Pics: with the stock Bed Mat, there was a ton of crap under it after i pulled it out. I found a few camp stakes and a lot of bark and sand, along with a huge dent! He pressure washed it and did all the prep

The After:

This is what impressed me the most, he was able to fix the huge dent and make it barely noticable. I didnt even mention it to him.

Overall it went well. I am happy with what i got and it has a lifetime no questions asked warranty. Plus you cant beat the price (besides doing it yourself ). I plan on giving it a good test in the next few days loading up wood and preping for my yosemite trip.

I noticed on his site he said it was 'truck club' month, I am not sure what that means but if there is enough people interested i will look into it.

Thanks for a nice write up!

Looks sweet! Smokin' deal as well. What part of town is Mossy Ford in - is it El Cajon, or is that Pearson?
We are a truck club, so If a few guys wanted to get that done, it might be worth the drive for a deal like that.

Ahh i forgot not everybody in So Cal is familiar with San Diego
FMJ is located in Pacific Beach and he works out of the Mossy Ford dealership. I will contact him and find out what the 'truck club' month means exactly. I am thinking if we get X # of people to go it will be X Rate....something like that.

The only bolts in the bed are on the tail gate(if that counts as part of the bed), and he does not spray over those in case you need to replace a handle or open it up. It was cool and he explained everything to me and gave me options. I chose to get my bed hooks lined, but its all up to what you want. This was my first time getting a bed lined, so i had lots of questions.

I see four bed bolts in the corners. It might be hard to remove the bed if needed in the future.

Yeah he did paint over the bolts in the bed, but i dont think that will be much of an issue. You could ask him to remove them first, but i didnt catch it. But how often do people replace beds? and for what reason?

I havent really looked into it as i already have my liner on. But i think we would probably need to get more than 1 person to go to get the truck club rate.....whatever that rate might be.
