Pick my tires for me!

Hey everyone,

I can't decide, so i'm going to let you. These are going on my 07 lariat which sees mostly road duty, there is an occasional trip off road to hunt or fish, and theres also a fair amount of winter snow and ice driving.

I've narrowed it down to two, Michelin ltx m/s or Goodyear Wrangler silent armor

I vote Michelins. I've sworn off Goodyears - too many negative personal experiences with them.

I agree with rpxr, I've had too many issues with gys! Never again... I'm also getting ready to replace my original bfgs on my 04 as well. The tire shop recommended Bridgestone Revos, but stick with your michelins

Yet 4 out of 7 voters prefer Goodyear over Michelins at the time of this posting...I've always run the Wrangler's on my vehicles. Never had a problem, and I've been driving trucks of one flavor or another for the last quarter-century. Michelin makes good motorcycle tires, no doubt. So does Dunlop.

I personally like the Firestone Destination series, LE for highway (i have these and love them in rain, snow, & dry), or A/T for your application. They are a fantastic value. Remember, Firestone and Bridgestone are the same for most intents and purposes.

Quiet ride, good traction, good wear when rotated in a timely manner, 50psi run pressure if you want to go that high, and a good price at Discount Tires when they need replaced. I got 70,000 miles out of the set on my Sport-Trac.

The Silent Armor's are supposed to be even quieter, and stronger. What WOULDN'T be to like?

After taking a look at the stats I might give the Goodyears a try, the snow/ ice/ wet traction states it better and I thought the Michelin's were pretty good.

YES. While I wouldn't work there (it's like seeing a sweat shop on TV) I purchase all of my tires through them. They aren't "seconds", and they can order any tire you want. They buy in such bulk, and change so many tires, that nobody else gets close to their pricing.

EXCELLENT customer service...at least here in Loveland. They replace any bad tire and pro-rate it even if you didn't buy it there. I took a Hankook off my wife's Edge that had a flat, and took it there. They fixed it while I waited no questions asked...For free. That sold me on them completely when it comes to tires.
