Had my 04 Chevy 2500 hd stolen about one year ago. State troopers recovered the truck after 6 days. Troopers monitor the casino south of Wichita KS, and found it there. Yay for the police in Kansas.

Time for the Ford Enthusiasts to step into action. There is nothing worse than being violated like this. I had my 2002 F-250 CCLB 4WD XLT stolen from my place of work. Florida Police (Orange County) found it on someone's lawn. The meth heads banged up the rear box, broke a side view mirror, dinged and dented 2 doors, they cut the console lid, and did other trash that Meth heads do. Real _cumbags. Drugs are the scourge of the world.

I would recommend Carlink . . its is a remote start add on but can be used as a standalone device. As a standalone device it shows where the vehicle is at. A GPS locator .. It also doubles as a remote starts anyway in the world with the phone..

Its the best/priced tracker I could find and its only two wires +/- unless you want the remote start stuff.

https://www.brickhousesecurity.com/g...kers/livewire/ has also been recommended to him. The initial price is low but the monthly plan is a little steep. Or maybe not if your truck gets stolen, you will know exactly where it is.

We're using Drone at 249 installed and I think 249/3yrs, but carlink is interesting at 99/3yrs doing keyless, remote start and GPS. That's cheap on the service. How much is a system? the ascl6 carlink is 150 before labor, how much is the keyless - starter system that its compatible with installed also?

It's alot cheaper to put in a hidden fuel shut off. Kill the fuel when you park it and they won't get more than a couple hundred feet before it dies. Most thieves aren't gonna start troubleshooting, they're just gonna bail. On my old Dodge 12 valve i put a ball valve in the fuel line under the cab and extended the handle up through the floor under the seat. You could also set it up with a push/pull cable.

Since everything has an electric fuel pump these days a small 20A switch hidden under the dash that has been spliced into the Inertia Switch line would work, too.

For those with iPhones what about using a Apple AirTag - many places to hide one in a truck.
