Unhappy Another Ford Fan Hits the Road

Well, guys, the little girl who was barely more than a toddler the first time we went to the Supernationals in Pigeo Forge just turned 16.

Today she got her Learner's Permit. I will be teaching her how to drive

In the meantime, we'll be watching out for a Ranchero, since she's fallen in love with them. I gotta admit, a Ranchero sure beats an F-400, which is what she wanted until she had a chance to try to drive Grover. Once she found out how hard those old trucks are to steer, she decided something smaller was more to order.

At least she hasn't been yammering for an S-10!

(You may want to stay off the roads here in Kentucky for awhile, by the way.)

You poor, poor man!

I remember when my two boys started driving. Took one of them less than a week to put their mom's car in the Rhubarb!...road conditions....

I feel for you. Might need a little "Just for Men" hair color when it's over, that is if you still have hair then

I learned to drive at an early age, someone had to drive my drunk kinfolks around the Mississippi countryside did pretty good till I decided to join in the fun then it was time to hand the keys off to a younger cousin.

Having two grown daughters myself and having gone through teaching them to drive you might want to rethink putting her in Grover.

I think it's great she wants a Ranchero. Mine wanted and got a '67 Fastback Mustang. I'm REAL fond of '64-'65 Rancheros but my Wife says I'm too big and I look funny sitting in them. I look funny anyway.... so what's the problem ?

Congrats !!!

We are looking for a 60 to 63. She likes the Falcon Ranchero's, and by gum it's going to have a 6!

There's a fellow here in town that has a fleet of the old Falcon based Rancheros, but he won't part with nary a piece. I hope to be around when he goes because his kids will probably sell it all for scrap.

Check the bell housing bolt pattern if it's a 400. Rumor has it that some Rancheros also got the FMX block. I believe it would be 1971 or 1973. I'd make a roadtrip down for it if it was.
