If you want to run megasquirt on a ford setup this makes it pretty easy:

Good move! With lower gears, and EFI, you may get better mileage than that Falcon!

Did you get the distributor, too? I think you need it to index cyl. #1?

I'm thinking of adding a Hilborn LIKE Stack EFI on my Flatmotor.
I have some diferent size Carb bases to use as throttle bodies. Just have to start gluing stuff together,

I'll definately take pics along the way!

I should have plenty of fuel tank, I think its a 30 gallon capacity.

Ross, yea, I have already upgraded to an HEI distrbutor. I might have to change out the old 4 pin ignition module to a later model module so that I can have the MegaSquirt ECM conrol the spark

Rusty, I knew it was something like that. I know I have several old Caddy service manuals, and even an old EFI drivability manual boxed up somewhere, leftover from the days when I used to tinker on these things for a living

Dick,
Great idea! I think you could make a really cool looking set up that would hide some modern electrical parts without too much trouble.

Thanks everyone!
Bobby

Atta Boy Bobby!! I know you've been collecting for this project, sometimes ya just gotta pull the trigger. Idont know much about the mega-squirt, but will study up in my spare time..Keep us posted with progress and problems..you probably already have it worked out in your mind, but sometimes the 'group' sessions here can offer some unexpected benefits..Good Luck!

Be sure to get a gas mileage figure beforehand so you will have a comparison. Good luck with it...

Vern,
Good suggestion. It would be good to have reference point. I have a couple of issues though;
1. I think my tank is 30 gallons or more (is there anyone in this day and age that could afford to fill that danged thing up???)
2. Due to really tall rear end gears and a tranny that came out of a car with 2.65:1 rear gears my speedo is a bit off (reads 15+ miles fast) and the odometer isn't going to read right
3. And this is probably the biggest factor.....I can't seem to keep my foot out of the carberator when I drive it....LOL

I'll try to get some kind of indication though
Bobby

When checking the milage, Tow the Falcon, calculate the fuel milage and multiply by 1.
