I ran the same settings on level 2 and level 3 except I bumped the timing for the 93 octane. Put about 35,000 miles on these settings before getting custom tunes from www.powewrhungryperformance.com. I did run level 3 with 93 octane for most of the 35,000 miles.

Shift points: 1-2= 5250 2-3= 5250 3-4= 4800
Max RPMs: 5650
Max speed: 110
Shift pressure: 1-2= +12 2-3= +12 3-4= +9
WOT fuel: +1.5
Normal shifts: no change
Adjust for appropriate gears and tires

WOT fuel? Not sure what you are asking. If fuel, yes, you should always bump the fuel +1.5 to 1.6. That came from Edge long ago. Also, the 3-4 shift should never be higher than 4800 rpms, as that is a weak point with the transmission. The race is over by then anyway.

No, it isn't. You should bump it up on level 2 and level 3, both. Why they didn't do it as part of the canned program, I have no idea.

Yes, it only comes into play when you are going WOT, foot to the floor.

k well i tryed to program it like you said above. And man wow it screwed my truck all up. What my truck did when i did this is when i would take off the truck would hop a little like the rear-end was messing up but would clear out after about 20mph. Than i tryed to hammer on the truck later down the road and it went to 3200rpms and shifted. After it did that i turned the truck back to level 2 without a custom tune. Did i do something wrong or is it my chip? Thanks for any help

not the chip man, i have a '05 F150 5.4 . i just got my chip so i dont know that much about it, i run mine on Extreme Lv 3 with custom tune, i have the settings with WOT fuel at 1.75 , WOT Shift at 5000 RPMs on all of them, i didnt mess with the timing yet even tho i run 93 Octane Shell V-Power gas, too scared to mess something up even tho the manual says you can safely add .5 timing for each level you run on if you use 93 octane. adjusted the tires for my 33" Mud Grapplers, didnt adjust the shift firmness none yet, im still a little shy on adjusting too many things and tearing something up. does pretty good for me, 1-2 shifts at about 45 mph, 2-3 shifts at about 90 with foot to the floor, got up to 120 the other day but let off caues was scared of meeting a cop :P Speed limiter is set at 130 or something.. that doesnt really matter. only thing is when your foot is to the floor the clutch lets out a sqeak when it shifts, im thinking of droping my shift points down to 4900 to maybe prevent it, but i havent done it yet. but i think that is about all of it.. one thing i cant figure out tho is when truck is in stock program the idle speed is at about 650, but when you have it programed it drops to 525 which gives the truck a little flutter sound.. havent found out how to increase it since it only goes up to 300 rpms on the programer.. i contacted Edge and im waiting for them to reply to me on this, ill play with it some more tomarrow and give you some more details.

First, you really need to bump the timing +1 for 93 octane. won't hurt anything. Next, you need to drop the WOT shift point to 4800 on the 3-4 shift, it can't handle more than that for long. Always have Max RPMs at least 400 more than your shift points, so with your current settings, 5400. Next, the idle needs to be about 750. The idle adjustment is confusing, it is not going up to 300, that is plus 300 to the base of 650. So, you need to add 150 to 200. Lastly, that squeal is the belt slipping. You need to replace it with a Gatorback.

I have no idea. Did you set your gears and tires properly? I have run those settings for nearly 2 years with no problem as have other people. Just check everything.

even if i add all 300 to it, the idle doesnt change any, still sits at 525 . the manual says you can safely add 1.5 to the timing if running 93 in level 3, or +1 in this guys case if he wants to run level 2. so with the WOT Shifting being set high like that, what will happen if i keep it like that??
