I have a 85 F150 Short box flareside (nice truck). 302 fuelie, built June 1985. I bought it not running. THe PO says hat it runs for 15 min then dies. I haven't tried myself yet. I have tested the TFI module and tests out to be bad on the GND and PIP in, PIP PWr and PIP In fails. I also checked the wiring to the TFI Module . THe haynes manual says the colours are as follows:
Wht-Lt Blu, Blk, Yel-Lt Grn, Dk Blu, Red Lt Blu, Dk Grn-Yel.
My truck
Drk Blu, Yel, Red -Lt Blue, Yel- Silver or Lt Blu (not Sure),Dk Grn, Lt Blu-Blk.

Is this right or has someone played with the wiring. I don't want to put a new TFI module in if I'm going to melt the new one down.

I checked the later years with no luck on the colouring.

Also the PO installed a new TPS.

Can someone help???

Pull the codes. They may give you a hint as to what's wrong. Here's a site that tells you how to do it with a regular meter or testlight. www.fordfuelinjection.com

P.S. I got rid of your other post in this forum. Less confusion that way, and we will keep your problem seperate from the other one by using this thread you created.

I went to the web site you suggested. Great info. I will have to chase the wiring from the TFI module back to the ECU to confirm that the wiring is correct. I'll check continuity as well.
