I know a select couple of guys will like it just to it being a ford, but ford should have let this pos line of car die along time ago!
We can only hope it wont be half as bad as the previous version!

Nice looking little car, I hope Ford can bounce back, I know that Ford is/did get rid of other auto makes to make up for losses. Ford does have to re structure, and find away to make more affordable, reliable cars and trucks.
(that may use new fuel sources too). As they say - the future is now.
We will see, current recession trends will shake up all automakers - in the US that is. (I wonder if China will sell cars at Walmart someday).

It`s really hard to say, Ford of Europe`s product is supposed to be alot better than what we may currently have here.
Ford of Europe is apparently having record sales and strong, profitable growth, much better than in North America at the moment.
Hope that`s the case, Ford`s future hanging in the balance.
Love it or hate it the Fiesta was an important early stepping stone similar to the Mustang II, Pinto, Maverick/Comet cars. Ford`s part in moving into a totally different car segment.
To me there are too many ''cute'' over rated foreign Pos cars floating about!
Unfortunately China probably already has cars lined up, most of Wally World`s merchandise comes from China.

The original Fiesta was sold here in the US 1978/80. It was a very good car, but it had two problems, why it didn't sell.
It was only available as a 2 door, and a 4 speed manual was the only transmission Ford offered.
It died on the vine.

I had buddies back in the day with the fiesta, and they were both huge pieces of crap! They were in competition with hondas and toyotas of back in the day and they didnt come close to comparing.
I would guess they were mid to late 80's ish. I didnt actually know the fiesta came out as early as it did either.
