Hidden latches

Finally got around to fabbing the hidden tailgate latches; thanks to Bobby T's gallery pics. Weather is mild so able to work in garage. I used 3/4" stainless tubing, 1/2 rod. I'll post pics this week. Box is almost ready for ep. Did some body work on cab also, so am ready for primer. Hope to have spot painted by end of March so I can assemble cab to frame for "last" time.

Added Pics

I put a couple of pics of hidden latches in my gallery under box build, not show stoppers but gives you an ideas of where I'm. Off to my favorite wrecker today to get some rims and speedo.

I just wish I could get in my shop. This is one of the worst winters I can remember for some time. We have had it all.

Sanded out box sides

Didn't get out for my road trip to wreckers, bathroom reno got in the way. Did sand out the box sides. tailgate and end section. Will try to get them painted this week then ready for box assembly. Unable to get in touch with my painter, so will shop around tomorrow to have cab final primed and spot painted for assembly.

Some noticeable progress at last

Dropped the bed parts off for EP today; caught up to my painter, will have cab primed and spot painted Easter week. Nice to show some progress after winter doldrums. Fingers crossed that my cab and box will be on frame by mid April !
