6637 is a NAPA part number. The filter is about 12" long. I'll see if I can find the dimensions and post them for you. This might take a few minutes.

Filter info: http://www.napaonline.com/NOLPPSE/(...6637_0006473389

Exhaust elbow info: http://www.napaonline.com/NOLPPSE/(...99+99999+109999
Hey thanks for the info I didn't realixe there was an elbow that would work so perfect. The trouble is that when I click on the link it has expired I tried searching the napa site with no luck I would just go to the store and talk to them but there seems to be a shortage of good help there and they are about as helpful as teats on a boar. If you could send along the part number that would be great.

One thing to keep in mind on the exhaust elbow. Since the filter is sucking in ambient air which has humidity, if you go wiht an aluminized elbow, keep a close eye on it so you can change it when it starts rusting. I just got through getting a stainless elbow for mine so I wouldn't have to worry about that particular issue.

I thought the SD trucks just needed a straight piece of 4" tubing and not an elbow, did I get my wires crossed?

Where did you source your SS elbow? was it something you purchased somewhere or made yourself?

Will a battery that is 13" long, 7" wide and almost 9 1/2" tall fit in these OBS? Mine are gonna be replaced this summer. Thinking with going with the Strong Boxes.

I think those are the dimensions of my batteries. I will try to check later. The height is the biggest issue. Also the battery tray lip to the inside of the engine compartment need to be flattened so it doesn't cut into the battery.

Yep. Nothing a plasma cutting can't handle. That might be a little over kill, but I haven't had it out in awhile.

Built it. its 3 inch PVC about 6-8 inches long with each end capped. two 3/4 inch barbed fittings threading into the top and a few inch off the bottom. It has a petcock in the bottom to drain any oil. Then the guts are scotch brite pads cut into circles and copper pot scrubbers. those fill the entire inside. The pot scrubbers in the bottom and finer scotch brite pads toward the top. Flow is from bottom to top.
