Roller Rocker question?

I have some extra Crane 1.7 rockers from a windsor. I haven't removed the valve covers on my Bronco or done too much research on it's 400. I think remember the person I bought it from saying that it has pedastal mount rockers. Can I use these on my 400? It is a new stock 400 and the heads were shaved alittle and it has a Performer cam. What kind of piston to valve clearance am I looking at? Whats the max cam lift and duration for a stock 400? I thank you in advance for any help.

Roller Rocker question?

The rockers for a 400 fit 351C,351M,429,460. The ratio for these rockers is 1.73:1. The geometry is wrong for a windsor type rocker. Do you have the part number for the rockers you have? If so you could call Crane. A 400 head can be machined to accept studs and pushrod guides to use Big Block Chevy roller rockers. There are a variety of other ways to install roller rockers on a 351C/M,400 or 385 series also.

Roller Rocker question?

the pedestals seem to fit, but the tips of the 302/351W rockers don't reach the valves.

does anybody know if the jesel shaft-mount rocker setup for yates heads will fit regular iron cleveland heads that have been machined for screw-in studs?

Roller Rocker question?

Thanks for the answers guys. I was just wondering if it was direct bolt-on by some slim chance. I will keep the rockers on the set of ported E7s that I have them on(just sitting in my garage). I will eventualy swap these heads onto my 95 GT anyway.
