Thumbs up Put on a Flowmaster 50 series and got a question?

Today went to muffler shop and had a Flowmaster 50 series put on in place of stock muffler, my question is I have been reading and seems people have the 50 series in the SUV model on their F-150, why? I got the Delta Flow 50 series at least thats what they said. How could I tell what I got, oh and love how it gets real aggressive when you get on the gas, and mild tone while idling, noticed big difference in low end and trans. shifts seem alot more firm. Thanks, Jeff.

I have a 40 in place of the stock and it sounds good when you first start it cold but pretty quiet after that...I was actually a little disappointed.

40 series? I said 50 series

I did say 50 series, my question was why do people run an SUV 50 series instead of the one for Trucks? Thanks

It's my understanding that the 50 series is call SUV just as a label, similar to it being called Delta Flow. Anyway, I have the 50 si/do(straight out) and really enjoy them. I considered Magnaflow and Borla and yes, they are made with some form of a stainless system but the flowmaster is a thick steel box that will last for a long time, unless you live where there's a ton of salt and they all crap out early, stainless or not. I bought the flowmaster for one major reason, SOUND. Magnaflow and the rest just don't have the manly sound Flowmaster gives though the magna people will say they love theirs. To each their own but I want my truck to sound like a Ford truck, not some wimpy Tundra or Ridgeline.

i am going to want to put a different muffler on mine as well but i am going to need something that doesn't make alot of noise when cruising because i'm going to want to still hear my nice sound system! but yet again i'd like a nice agressive sound only when i hit that gas hard!

i mainly want the power increase not the sound coz of my money spent into a stereo system, but it'll be nice to have something at idle and when i smash the gas!
