Believe it or not. My wife just said she is excited about going to Knoxville in May. This will be our first trip to Knoxville and my parents are coming along. We are staying in the La Quinta Inn. Anybody else staying there? We chose it because we are planning on taking our dogs and they allow pets.

 

My wife said the same thing when we went two years ago, She will love it.

No really, mine is just as excited when we go to the Nats.

 

I think my dad is more excited then me or wife. He originaly bought my truck for a project then he gave it to me a few years later after he bought a 35 Chevy sedan. I think he is tickled to see that something is actualy getting done with it.

 

My Wife has been a Street Rodder as long as I have been. She is 5' at 110 lbs and can use any tool in my shop.

We've had a lot of Muscle Cars and Hot Rods over the years but when I sold my last '49 F1 she was really upset.

When I got this next one she cried for joy......

She's the best...... She has always had my back after 35 years......

 

Glad to here some many of your wifes are going & involve with your trucks. Me & Dajudge51 are taking our wifes; but their plans are in Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. But on the brite side atleast thier going with us; mine usually said's see ya on Sunday; I'm slowly bringing the Blue Oval out in her. lol

well eman i only wish my wife shared the same enthusiasm as yours (hope i spelled that right.) Mines just looks at what i am doing as just passing time on a hunk a junk . Maybe someday she will understand.

 

That is what is so great about "Shades of the Past" in Pigeon Forge. We all get together for breakfast in the morning and after breakfast the girls go shopping and we head for the car show. We all meet up for supper and after supper we meander around up and down the strip looking at cars until the wee hours. It is what all long weekends should be like. Arrr Arrr Arrrrrrrrrrrrr

 

i asked for vacation time to try and attend it for the first time ever , and was planning on driving the ol' girl { bessie the 53 } down if i got it fairly well done on it's electrical and mechanical gremlins , but sadly no i got beat by someone else , my older daughter has decided to get married not to long thereafter and i have to attend it or i'm gonna be dog meat LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i had already asked for time off for the cruise for charity and , the mother road festival , and some other small dates so i kinda have it all burned up . maybe next year .

 

Will be there in the swap meet area near the edge by the food vendors ( very handy )under a red ez up promoting , displaying ,& hopefuly selling some heater boots .The exact reproduction boot for the '49 -'50 Ford truck equipped w/ standard heater ,boots for late '51 & '52 Ford trucks w. Magic Air heaters and boots for '51 & '52 mercury trucks w. Magic Air heaters . Stop by and say hi .Denny
