What was Ford thinking?

The new nose on the E series vans- It looks like last years Econoline now has a massive facial tumor.

i seen a couple of them, why don't they just have a different front design that would match the body lines of the van?

sort of like o saw a motorhome a long time ago that was all big but had some little headlights and grill from a 90's f-series. looked totally out of place.

One local (in West Covina, CA) Ford dealer's Super Duty newspaper ad cuts have had the uppermost chrome trim of the grille blacked out with a marking pen!

If you look close, whoever did it....did a p!ss poor job. It's wavy, and trails off to one side. Does this make the grille look any better?

You be the judge.

I saw a couple the other day and really didn't think they looked that bad. A course I like the 08 superdutys to though. Personal I think they look better in person but thats just my opinion.

I agree, the new grills are FUGLY! I think it ruined the best looking van made. It's

too big and even looks worse from the side view. Take a look at one of the base

models and it makes the one in the pic look good.

its not the size it the design. they have to be bigger to cool the bigger engines and more power they are puttin out. and you know everyone wants there truck to look like a semi otherwise people wouldnt put stacks and all the lights and everything else that came off semis first. but that pic ot the van is scary.

I've seen those too, always thought they looked funny. I've seen them with the 99-02 Chevy headlights too.

I think that van looks pretty good. I've seen pics of the base models that are pretty ugly though.

1 of the glass shop owners calls it his "WAFFLE IRON".

BTW, bf250, They already do look like a semi!
Kenworth T-2000 looks like a blown up Dodge
Peterbilt version is the blown up FORD!
Look at the grilles now!

I don't mind the look on the vans and/or the trucks, but why did they make the signal lights almost as big as the headlights. Are they looking for that old school look with the signals above the headlights as well?I agree with red star, what was wrong with the previous model?

It's a super duty grill on a van, no big deal, who buy's a van for looks anyway. Isn't ford going to go the sprinter route with it's vans? They do in europe, it's called the transite or something. I liked the look of the late 70's ford vans, the hippie vans were cool.
