Headlight Replacement help needed

I purchased a set of Sylvania Silverstar high performance headlamps for my new 08 Expedition. The manual has us removing 2 bolts and a small tab to open the compartment. I cannot get the housing to slide out to access the bulbs. There must be a trick to get to these bulbs.

By the way, I put these bulbs in my Excursion and they gave me about a 35% boost in light power. Great for seeing the deer on my way up to the cottage in Northern Michigan! They cost about $50 pair and worth it. Street legal.

Thanks for any help!

08 Tri color white, limited, with everything! Love it!

The Silverstars have shorter life, so get used to taking the headlamps out regularly.

I tried both the 9008 and h13...but no luck. I have no idea if Cali has put some heat on retailers but no one I talk to has seen them except online...I'll just wait.

9008/H-13 had been available since the last F-150 update four years ago. Maybe you are looking in the wrong stores?

I purchased my lights right off of the Sylvania website.

That seems rather short-sighted of Sylvania to constrain its market that way.
