Progress at last !

The last two days had temperatures of plus 3 C so I finally got some work done on the box ,welded the stake pockets and gussets to box sides. I got some IP on the front welds but will re-do when I fasten the front panel to box. I started fabbing the tailgate latches using 1/2" SS tubing and 3/8 rod. Things were going smoothly until I broke a tap when threading the holes that will hold the assembly into the tailgate rail. Still a fairly productive day; with some progress to show. Back to work tomorrow so project on hold for two weeks. Will post pics next time.

Later;

Tom

Tom,

Woohooo. I'm glad you were able to battle the elements and get some work done.

I'm looking forward to seeing the pics. That bed is going to be sweet!
