460-LEADED FUEL??

The only 460's that I know of that run on leaded fuel are the older ones.

460-LEADED FUEL??

The 460 isn't going to be any different than any other engine, it's all going to depend on when it was manufactured.

460-LEADED FUEL??

Your motor will run on unleaded fuel, but it will damage the exhaust valve seats. Depending on the year of your motor, pre 73' motors needed leaded fuel. You can fix this by getting your heads redone with hardened exhaust valve seats. The gas gauge shouldn't have anything to do with the type of fuel as far as I know.

can't say for certain ; but for the calif smog requirements for 1987 the fuel filler restrictor is not one of the requirements.

then fuel injection started and it all changes.

you can run leaded gas on anything without a cat and oxygen sensors, but before 1973 it was a requirement because of the unhardened valve seats- lead was used to lubricate the valves. the lead will clog up the cat and foul oxygen sensors. also the type of fuel has nothing to do with your gas guage working- if its stuck on e then you probably have a break in the wire for the sending unit for the gauge, or a bad sending unit- if it were pegged over full then it would be grounding out somewhere
