Can anyone recommend a crate engine builder? Has anyone had a good or bad experience buying a crate engine? I'm trying to deceide on buying a 351w crate or rebuilding my 240 to go in my 66 f100. I have a rebuilt c-6 already.

 

I have never bought a crate engine.... but friends that have like SVO motorsports. Some builders like CHP offer a little more customizeation for the buyer and can give you a turnkey engine from air cleaner to carb with a dyno sheet, but expect to pay 6k for that or more.

 

you get what you pay for.....look around and try your local machine shop....
