Am I being misled or lied to?

I am about to purchase a 2007 F-150 Lariat using the x-plan.

Rebates available in my area are as follows:

Ford Rebate = $5,500

FMCC Rebate = 1,000

RCL (Owner Loyalty) = 1,500

Total Rebate = 8,000

I’m being told that the RCL rebate is not available on x-plan. The x-plan website seems to say that it is. What the dealer is suggesting is that I don’t use the x-plan, but buy at invoice so I can get that rebate. Invoice is a little higher than x-plan. I feel like the dealer is just trying to make a better deal for himself. I’m ready to go elsewhere but I wanted to see if I am correct first.

Also, does anyone have the Tier 0 finance rates for 60 & 72 months?

Thanks!

Hey Rehab...give me your zip code and model (IE: 4X4 or 4X2) and I'll run a vincent for you. It would also help if you have the VIN...1st 2 and last 8.

Hey Rehab...I'm getting some information that contradicts what you have found during your research. Here goes:

Using zip code 89141...VIN 1F...7KB66803...

X Plan RCL...$1000 Ford Credit Bonus Cash...That's All !!!

RCL...Individual...$1000 Ford Credit Bonus Cash + $1500 RCL Renewal

Retail Purchase...$5500 Retail Customer Cash + $!000 Ford Credit Bonus OR
$1000 Ford Credit Bonus Cash + 0% APR

I ran the same info for my zip in Massachusetts and came upon some very different information.

X Plan RCL...$4000 in rebates

RCL...Individual...$4000 in rebates + $1500 RCL Renewal

X Plan Purchase...$8000 in rebates OR $2500 in rebates + Financing at 0% APR.

The programs are regional...they will change by zip code. My suggestion to you is that you ask the dealer to see the VINCENT and have him explain the differences in detail. It seems to me that he has made a mistake somewhere along the way.

You are generally not better off leasing a leftover model...the residuals are lower and the rate factor is higher than a current model year. I would suggest you price out a 2008 for comparison purposes.

Let me know if you have any other questions...I'll try to help.

Thanks Ken

I wasn't looking to lease, I was going to purchase. What I was being told was that I would get a $5500 Rebate on the purchase plus $1,000 FMCC cash and that's it. So there is no $1500 RCL loyalty rebate on a purchase for x-plan cistomers? The dealers here advertise a total of $8,000 off on a retail purchase which includes the customer loyalty. Seems weird that they wouldn't give that $1500 on an x-plan purchase.

Do you know the Tier 0 finance rates for 60 & 72 month? Or does that vary by region as well?

Correct...the RCL cash would only apply if you are currently leasing and lease a new one...that's where "Loyalty" comes in.
The Tier 0 finance rate is 0%...BUT you lose $5500 in rebates. In essence it is not 0% APR as you are paying your finance charge upfront...$5500. The dealer will finance you at conventional rates...what ever they be. I would check out my own finance sources...IE...personal bank...credit union...home equity line...just so you know if you are getting the best deal possible. Check your PM...there will be one from me soon.
Good luck...let me know how you make out!!!

Just guessing that the MSRP on that truck is about $47300 +/-. In that case the info your dealer is giving you is correct...unless you are taking a low rate alternative or you qualify for a private offer. Remember...the dealer has to show you the invoice...the X-plan price is clearly indicated on it...it is fixed by Ford. The dealer has nothing to gain by misleading you. Also...X-plan rules prohibit the dealer from charging you documentary preparation or administrative fees. Hope this helps.

MSRP on the truck is $50191

can't believe that there are no other incentives out there.

i missed out on $1000 owner loyalty by 1 year. cutoff is 98 and newer.
my 97 PSD doesn't count or my wifes 05 escape.

i guess being patient and loyal and waiting for ford to get their diesels figured out didn't pay off. passed up on a screamin deal on a dura(scrap)max last year just cuz i'm a ford guy.

guess i'll have to wait.

That should be right...I failed to consider the $2500 when calculating the retail. It is what it is...as manufacturers...all of them...reduce production...there are less vehicles available...reducing the need for huge rebates. You'll have to get used to it...that's the way of the present and the future.

Any help checking rebates would be GREATLY VALUED

<O</O
I received an x-plan quote on a 2008 F450 with vin# 1FTXW43RX8ED56260. I live in zip 06492. I will be comming off a SD lease as well.

MSRP = $53,860<O</O
X-Plan = $49,885<O</O

I'm told I can only receive $2,500 + $1,000 for owner loyalty. Is there any other rebates or incentives?<O</O

<O</O
I do not own a business, but plan to put a 5th wheel hitch on. When speaking to others dealers I’m told I was eligible to receive a $1500 up-fitter discount once the hitch is on, any truth to this?

At times I think it’s better not to go x-plan to get more rebates, any help would be appreciated.<O</O

Those are the rebates on an '08 F-450.

You don't qualify for the commercial upfit unless you own a business and use the vehicle in the operation of that business.

x-plan and rebates

At the risk of beating this dead horse, I could use some advice. I have on order a 2008 F250, with x-plan pricing. This will be my 3rd SD (2003 and 2004). Delivery should come in the next 4 weeks.

Along the same lines as Rehab, what limits of rebates are there? Also, I 'm curious about the x-plan rules on fees. Thx.
