What size socket for Pinion nut on Front Axle?
Sorry, it's butt cold out there tonight and we're expected to get some snow starting Thursday night.
I've got a u-joint strap bolt broken off in my front yoke. Going to take it off and replace. Does anyone know the socket size for the pinion nut. I'm going to mark it well and count the turns.
Thanks for any help!

Well, its 1 1/4 IIRC. Youll also need a two jaw gear puller, because the yoke does not just come off. If its just the bolt that holds the strap thats stuck, id soak it with some PB blaster, or equivilent, and soak it some more, and try to extract it on the vehicle, and not worry about taking the yoke off. Some times you can get lucky and it will actually be loose in there, since it wasnt cross threaded when you tightened it.
