Swap Meet Thread-late Spring/Early SUmmer???

There's another SM at Turlock in May, Dan and I were thinking of piling up some of our "gold" and seeing about offing it there, but also...I'm thinking there may be something coming up around the same time-frame in the Sacramento area...so we could all share in the travel, of course I like Turlock cause it's only 1/2 from me..but we should all start planning and looking into it.

I'm thinking...

Figure what we have that we want to sell (ofcourse), but also maybe some of us (like me) have hidden junk...er treasures...we could donate up for ThumpeRoo recovery costs...I'm think off the top pf my head, I've some old Chevy heads, etc, that I was going to just take in for scrap, but should easily be able to get 30 or 40 bucks/etc, for the set at a SM.

i/e I have a 350 Chevy longblock out back that worth about 30 bucks in scrap to me, I'd haul it up and sell for the ThumpeRoo recovery fund and donate any $$ over the scrap price-no Dan, this isn't the motor I talking to you about

We could try to organize what we have in that fashion.

My goal-price-wise, wuld be to haul it up and sell it, so as not to bring it back home...sure that "thing" is worth 100.00 bucks to someone, someday, but in my eye, I'd off it for 50 bucks now instead of a C-note sometime over the next 10 years.

Ofcourse you guys/gals may have more attachment to your Gold than I do...so it's up to you.

I'd be cool if we could make it an NC Chapter SM and have everyone there to give us all time to leave and check things out, but if you can't make it, then we could arrange to get your stuff and sell it too I guess.

I should be able to make it. I have a door panel, and tail gate left over from the Beast that I could put up for sale. By then the Ranger will be here, and should be up and running to haul the junk..er "gold" up there.

I just got rid of some 352 and 460 engine parts to the scrap yard a few months ago. But there still are some things that I probably could part with, like a set of 460 heads that need rebuilding etc... I'll have to rummage through my treasures to see just what all else, but I'm sure I could find more.
I'll be watching for additional information on the date for the meet. Keep posting updates please.

I did some work today for my firend who is in the Model A club, seems they (Model A Club) don't put on the May swapmeet in Turlock and he's never been to it, so doesn't know how big it is/etc.
