My girlfreind is heading up there the end of Feb. for a dogsled race. She was up there last year with my truck and it worked fine all week -30's at night she plugged it in every night and it fired right up in the mornings. Until the last day it was like -35 and windy that night. No go in the morning, fuel froze up, killed both batteries. Got it towed new batteries and thawed out for an hour.

Just want to know what you guys do up there so she dosen't get stranded again and it won't cost me $$$ to get my truck started.

I sent her up there w/ 2 gal of DieselMate and made sure she used it when filling up. Even sent some fuel thawing stuff in case it froze, didn't work.

I told her to make sure she fills up with your fuel when she gets there. I'm sure there is more stuff in it than anywhere else. I also added a cold front grill just to help a little with the wind when its parked.

Any advice would be great. And BOTH of us will feel better about the trip if someone from there helps out.
