Fabulous Fords Forever, Knotts Berry Farm April 20 2008

Id like to get a group of ford-trucks.com members to attend this show together. Ive been to a couple of them in the past, and there is a fairly large truck portion of the show. Its April 20th at Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. Its very close to the 5 Fwy, so you will travel with ease if you feel like coming from a distance. Registration will be available in late January. http://www.fordcarclubs.org

The only negative thing about this show, is that is falls on the same date at the Long Beach Grand Prix does, every year I work media at the grand prix, so for the last 5 years, ive missed the car show. Ive also been going to the grand prix since i was 8, so its a very important event for me and i really dont think ill be able to make the Ford show unless something drastic happens like me breaking my leg and Steve Bricks has to push me around in a wheel chair at the show. But that shouldnt stop you guys from taking the bull by the horns and getting a group together to represent the site and have a damn good time.

The show is HUGE HUGE HUGE! There are lots and lots of famous cars on display and tons of car clubs who attend. Im willing to help plan the get together, but i am 80% sure ill need to be at the Long Beach Grand Prix.

This is a flyer from last year, please disregard the date on the bottom!

That's a good idea, right there. We will keep this one up toward the top and see what kind of response we get.

You really don't want to break a leg, now, do you? Wouldn't a couple fingers be enough?

went last year...the other downside is if you enter your truck/car you can not leave till the show is over...so if you have other plans, just come down and check it out...just dont enter your ride...i had other things to do that day...so kinda sucked for me...otherwise it was a blast!

The last one I attended there were over 1000 Ford products there from a 1908 Model T to a 2007 Mustang. The event has moved twice, each time outgrowing the parking lot is was held at. I've been attending this GTG for over 20 years.

Memo to our Chapter leader...several car clubs set up tents and recruit new members.

Duly noted, Bill. Large gathering of Ford fans = Large concentration of potential members.

Sounds good, should have the Ranger by then, and I am off on Sundays, so I will try and make it down.

Our club went in 06 and they parked us on the grass. Had a easy up for the club. Met FTE member JAKE08 for the first time. Good show BUT if you have a mustang you'll do better on awards. There is a Edelbrock show in April you guys might want to consider. Vic opens his shop and Debbie Baker from Cruising For A Cure helps organize the show. Nice turn out and plenty hot rods.

Some pics from last years show.

Here is some more info on this show

Thank you for your interest in the 23rd Annual Fabulous Fords Forever at Knott's Berry Farm on Sunday April 20, 2008.

The show is free to spectators... you only need to pay if you wish to enter your car.

Optionally, you may buy tickets to the Knott's theme park which will be good from April 1 through May 31 (see form for details). Again, you do not have to enter your car to buy tickets, and you can enter or buy tickets at any time before the deadlines (or before space runs out)

There is no judging, except favorites are picked in the classes related to the celebrated marques... Fabulous Fords Forever is more of a Ford and Families reunion and not a judged show.

Attached is an Acrobat PDF file of both side 1 and side 2 of the registration form, which hopefully explains any questions you might have. If you participated in our show last year, registration forms are also in the mail.

If you plan to register your car, please do so well before the April 7 deadline, as we usually reach capacity early.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you at the show!

Sincerely,

Jim Dvorak
