I do when I am at the home office, like I have been this week, because it has been sub-zero. I am usually in the field, and don't have time to surf.

I am not aloud on the internet at work, this would be why, no work would get done. I do check back here often in the morning hours as there is nothing else to do but read and play with my daughter. She is learning alot on here for being 15 months old

I leave it open while at work a lot, but I don't always have time to get on and read or whatever. Depends heavily on what's going on. I actually get on while heading to & from test areas (we have drivers!!) once I get every thing set up. We have like an hour or so each way to where we do a lot of testing, so there's lots of time right there (thanks to Verizon mobile broadband!! )

I look around at time, and because my employer can see what I am doing, I do this during my LUNCH. And I take my lunch multiple times a day...

I don't have internet access at home since you can't get DSL or cable where I live. My last job didn't have nearly as much work to do and I actually finished the internet, or at least that's what I told my boss. I told him I hadn't worked in 3 weeks and he said, "me too."

well guess I'm too much old school but have a couple theories

1-if an employee has time to play on the internet,he or she should be assigned a little more work or employee should go back and check for mistakes or something they missed while hurrying to get through so they could play on the internet

2- if an employer has two or more employees playing on internet he has at least one to many employees

I won't say that I never goofed off, but will say while I was doing it there were things that could have and probly should have been done and that includes the years I was self employed

When else is there time to surf, I mean learn an absorb information? I look at it like I'm "saving money" by not just taking the truck to a shop. So, it's like work.

Sometimes I 'utilize' a few hours, sometimes I'm in China working 20 hours a day so it all works out.

when I first got the truck I read every post every day for weeks. Work was in the process of outsourcing and I had little to do. Now I browse through the first page a few minutes here and there. Weekends too.

I am at work right now. I jump on real quick every now and then and then jump right back off. My job is pretty stressful and my boss (the plant manager) is pretty cool as long as my crew is pumping the parts out (which they always do). he realizes how much pressure I am under to keep the line going so he doesn't say much about me jumping on the net every once in a while. Plus, he's a diesel guy too.
