OOO very nice! I'll be honest, I was a little skeptical about what you would ACTUALLY receive in the mail. Looks like you got a pretty killer deal

that big cat will not give you too much restriction if you use it.

If the inlet/outlet on the cat is too small you can also cut it back a bit like my exhaust guy did, to open it up. He did it without me even asking, pretty awesome if you ask me

It's 2 1/4" out. I'm not too worried about the size. I already have a magnaflow muffler on it now thats 2 1/4(assumed). Except for the manifolds, everything will be new.

Yeah a single 2.25 might be a little restrictive. You might wanna consider what my guy did my prior post

2.5" for a single pipe is the way to go.

This time of year the air is very cold and the valve will presumably be very hot and on shut down the cold air could enter the exhaust and contact the valve. I have seen it before.

Yeah, our shop sells a ton of these--and the feedback is pretty good:

its a little pricey, but you get what you pay for

well to now bring up an old thread... i was considering getting this same magnaflow. I was wondering since the o2 sensor plugs into the same spot but w.out the first cat at the Y, would this throw a check engine light in a '95 302?, non OBDII Also would this pass emissions. Right now I have stock untill second cat where i have a hooker aerochamber and 3" out the back exiting the stock location. originally I was going to just cut out the second cat and put in a straight pipe.

I have 95 ext cab with 302. I just installed Magnaflow Y-pipe and CAT. It is stainless steel and mandrel bent. Fitting to shorty headers took some doing; even though no problem with stock Y-pipe B4. Magnaflow needs to check their fixtures. Finally pulled it into postion with alot of grunt. From the CAT I installed a Dynomax Catback system with 2- 2-1/2" pipes out back. Drivers pipe snaked between spare and diff. Good instructions. Great fit ($75 rebate from Dynomax). I bought all from Summit and very happy with result. No problems with O2 sensor and no check engine. Got rid of stock 2 CATs for only one Magnaflow. And now a Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler instead of big truck muffler. Sounds better every day. Topped off with 2- 3" stainless tips out the back

I'm in Idaho and we have them every year... i would keep the old stuff around to bolt on if needed but I need to sell that cats for the cash, also, i noticed someone said they got this w/ a highflow cat. Is the magnaflow cat yours came with a highflow or just reg.

I just passed emissions with the Magnaflow CAT in Ohio. It is a 3-way CAT with air injection. I also had my cylinder heads rebuilt just B4 test. My compression is excellent. My HC was 24.2 ppm; CO was 0.00% and NOx was 148.1 ppm and C02 was 12.94%. It was tested several days after installation; it would probably do better now.
