Black panthers are sleek, stealthy, and agile............do you really think a 4x4 Ford truck fits into this category?
Sounds to me like you're starting to force the issue...give it time. The name will eventually come to you.
New idea to throw in the pot...."Vlad the Mudbuster"

I know how hard it is to name a truck!! I'm going through that with my 77. I painted it John Deere green and now i call it "snot rocket" but my family hates that name so i'm looking for a replacement. Your truck looks like "Black Beauty, "Satan's Servant" or B.M.W. (Big Mud Wagon) anyway good luck searching!

I still say that the vehicle generally names itself. The name will come to the owner when the characteristics of the vehicle become obvious. Since my original post on this thread, I've added two more vehicles to the fleet, and their names became obvious within a day of my having bought them.
The first, is my 1991 F250.....named Lumpy. The reasoning behind this is that it came with a 460, which anyone here would know that when it's cold, as 460's are cold blooded, has an idle that is fairly lumpy. Also, it has ridiculously stiff suspension, which makes the ride fairly.....lumpy. And finally, the color is that cream colored off white, which is kinda like oatmeal..........which is bland, and well.....lumpy.
The other vehicle is a 1986 Honda CRX.......named Dexter. It's red, tiny, zippy, and screams "Dexter" anyway, but when I looked at the owners manual, and it said it's technically a 1986 Honda CRX "DX", that cinched it.
So, as I said before, I still believe that your truck will tell you its name in due time. I know you want the name of your truck to instill fear into the hearts and minds of the general populace, as it's big, black, and imposing......but to offer perspective, my truck is big, black, and imposing, and his name is Buford. Not the scariest name, but it fits.
