I have a 88 F-350 with a EFI 460 and wanting to put a carbureted 460 in. The question is can I use my EFI parts. Power steering pump and bracket, alt and bracket, valve covers, oil pan, timing cover, and water pump on new motor. The new motor is a 78 block and 78 heads, block is bored .40 over with a 480 cam. And can I use my existing fuel system. If I can use my existing system do I leave my fuel pumps on my frame rail and let that feed the carb or do I have to remove them and run a line to a mechanical fuel pump on block to carb. If any you could help me I would appreciate it.
Thank You FTE

All the accesories youve listed should work on the older engine. You can NOT use the balancer or flywheel/flexplate. The 78 and older engines are internally balanced 79 and later are external balance. I dont think the efi intake will bolt to the older heads but could be wrong. If you do run a carb the only way to run the efi fuel pumps is if you regulate the pressure way down to maybe 5-7psi. good luck Andy
