Careful how you shake that tree this year. We've got snow and ice on them branches up here in Fulton, NY. For those not knowing the area? Locate Syracuse, NY...Go up and to the left on the map...and there we be.
Otherwise known for the massive amount of lake effect snow just north of here---Yes'sir rebob.... Part of the county (northern Oswego county) runs up I81 and in what's called the Tug Hill Plato. Now off to your right you'll see where farmer 'Ed' and his wife "ElleMay" got run over by the potato truck.....Heading a bit south and you'll run into what's called the "Salt City" (aka Syracuse)... Used to be a heavy salt area--now just known for the massive amount of road salt they use every winter....don't matter what you drive---on a quiet night you can hear EVERYTHING rust!!!
Keep on a headin' north and you'll find Watertown, NY...Home of Ft. Drum! And further up is Messina...errrr...Messenya....(heck with it) At any rate it's known for having some SEVERE cold weather...If during winter the temp is above 1? It's a heat wave--and call out Al Gore!!!
That concludes the tour for today. Don't forget to tip your driver.
(Yeah I'm very tired from a long day at work LOL)

you all have it wrong.... this is how it works..Tondawanda is western NY(west of Rochester)
Syracuse, Fulton, Auburn, Binghamton(Rochester east to Utica, south to the Pa boarder) is central NY.
me.. Fonda and Northville, is upstate(Utica east to the Vermont boarder, Canadian boarder to Albany) is upstate.
Albany, south to jersey(including the island) is ...well that's just Hell. (actually known as down state).
i see someone post upstate and think... cool someone out my way then i see they live in Cortland. might as well be friggin Russia.
so to review....Muffalo and area..Western NY. Syracuse and area..Central NY, Adirondack Park and area..Upstate. where Frank is..Downstate(also the Peoples Republic of NY or the skidmark of NY if you will).

kind of helps for what i plan if i get enough people to post locations. then make a thread in this chapter with branches and who resides on said branches
may make it easier if you are looking for local help
just need to correct a little here Buffalo, North Tonawanda, and Tonawanda are upstate due to location on canadian border, even local maps labeled upstate/western.
