Injector side load???
I hate to have to ask this question, but no matter which search terms I use, I cant find an answer to " What is injector side loading, what are the symptoms". My 04 F350 is having what I beleive to be stiction issues. On cold mornings, it sounds like its not banging on all eight (as the saying goes). After running at idle for a few minutes it clears up. I have read that one of the major problems with the early 6.0's was injector side loading and was wondering if this is one of the signs or not.
I already need to take the truck in for blowing coolant out the de-gas bottle and I would like get anything else that needs to be looked at taken care of while its in the shop.
THANKS!

av8tor---most likely it is your injectors. The spool valves are not serviceable, but there is a flash (if you don't already have it) that helps with cold starts by preheating the spool valves keeping them from sticking. Your 04 wouldn't have the "old" injectors as Ford had already delt with that problem several months prior. These injectors love clean oil and don't do well with extended oil changes since the HPO system shears oil badly. Synthetic helps, but doesn't extend changes enough to be cost effective.
