truck troubles
Went to start my truck this morning after it had been sitting for 12 hours. IT got down to at least 32 here last night. It started did the romp romp and and smoke came out kinda blueish white and it idled rough. I let it warm up for about a minute and till egts got to 400. I backed up it was running rough i was trying to get to the gas station because my low fuel light had been on for about twenty miles started to lose power and still running rough so i pulled over shut it off. I went put fuel in it started it would crank start idle rough for about 5 seconds and die and rpms would not go up.finally got it started it still idles rough but will run and not die and still runs rough. My freind had a similar problem and pulled the sensor that goes to the valve cover to the right of the fuel filter if your looking at the truck and it ran fine. I tried this it idles fine but still runs rough when you try to go. I did this for less then a minute. Here are codes i pulled with ae none are new codes<TABLE borderColor=#bebbbb cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=2 width=750 align=center border=1><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle width=50>B1203 </TD><TD align=left width=550>Fuel Sender Circuit Short To Battery </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><TABLE borderColor=#bebbbb cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=2 width=750 align=center border=1><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle width=50>B1371 </TD><TD align=left width=550>Illuminated Entry Relay Circuit Failure </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><TABLE borderColor=#bebbbb cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=2 width=750 align=center border=1><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle width=50>B2357 </TD><TD align=left width=550>Driver Window Down Current Sense Low Circuit Failure </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><TABLE borderColor=#bebbbb cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=2 width=750 align=center border=1><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle width=50>P0475 </TD><TD align=left width=550>Exhaust Pressure Control Valve </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><TABLE borderColor=#bebbbb cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=2 width=750 align=center border=1><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle width=50>P1211 </TD><TD align=left width=550>Injector Control Pressure Higher/Lower Than Desired (engine running) </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><TABLE borderColor=#bebbbb cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=2 width=750 align=center border=1><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle width=50>P1247 </TD><TD align=left width=550>Turbocharger Boost Pressure Low </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><TABLE borderColor=#bebbbb cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=2 width=750 align=center border=1><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle width=50>P1248 </TD><TD align=left width=550>Turbocharger Boost Pressure Not Detected </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><TABLE borderColor=#bebbbb cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=2 width=750 align=center border=1><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle width=50>P1812 </TD><TD align=left width=550>4-Wheel Drive Mode Select Circuit Failure </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

all kinds of codes there..most of them are from the chip... if its air from running to low on fuel..it should straiten out after25 to 50 miles or so....thats about what it sound like too..you may want to open the water valve on the back of the fuel bowl just incase you got water from the bottom of the tank..

Yes, the air will come out when enough fuel has passed through, The 1211 points to the HPOP system and should be of some concern. Clear it and if it comes back, I would think that may be part or all of you rough running problem. Could be a bad IPR, ICP, or other thing that affect your running.

32 degrees + low on fuel= could mean that water and condensation may have froze in the fuel lines and or in the fuel bowl. Running that low on fuel in winter temps is risky in a diesel. You also run the risk of picking up dirt from the bottom of the tank. Makes it harder to diagnose if you add these variables. Fill it up, work the air out of the system clear all codes, drive like a grandma, pull new codes too see if you have them.
Also, a must for PSD's that have some miles on them is cleaning and or replacing (easier) the EBPV tube and sensor too keep you rig running like new. May even clear up your P0475.

It doens't look like he's online now, so I guess we will just have to wait.
