Where to tap into the MAP for Boost???

Where to tap into the MAP for Boost???
Gettin ready to install the new boost gauge and need to know where to tap into the MAP line for the boost. do you tap into the tube that runs from the engine to the sensor right?? do u tap into at the bottom by the y-pipe or up by the firewall??? Thanks
