HELP! 1993 F150 stalls

I have a 1993 300 I6 automatic and it stalls sometimes when pushed hard...like trying to slowly climbover something - even sidewalks
Also, another time it would stall is when i'm doing quick, throttled U turns...when i straighten out - it stalls.

Can someone please tell me what's up with this? It's been like this for the last 30,000 miles. I did a tune up and the mechanic told me to get it checked out by the dealer becuase of a "rough idle" problem....so i came here first.

The truck shakes at idle
it drops below normal idle when reved in neutral
it drops idle before take off
it stalls sometimes at U-turns and Sharp throttled turns
...and the most pathetic thing of all is...
When i wedge the tires parallel to a raised side walk and try to go over it slowly....it stalls...how embarrasing

I'm conserned because i really want to get into some sand...and if i get stuck and try to rock it out....it just might stall again...HELP!

You said that you did or had your mechanic do a tune up. I assume that this includes a plugs, wires, cap and rotor and the whole deal. Did you change the fuel filter? I think that you would have done that in frustration already. Also have you replaced the throttle body sensor yet? Its a matchbook sized sensor on the firewall side of the throttle body. It controls the throttle reaction and mixture. I replaced this on my '93 when I was having trouble with acceleration. It helped a great deal. I really noticed the difference towing a 21' trailer. That should only be a couple bucks. If that doesn't make any difference, the next thing I would try is the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail. This controls the pressure for the injectors. This would cause problems in acceleration as well. Try these things and let me know if it helps. Bruce
