What did I buy?

I bought an '07 XL six weeks ago. I'm not sure what the options are, tho.

What is:

Preferred Equipment Package 502A? (Floor Carpet Delete)

6650# GVWR Package? (No price listed)

XL Decor Group? Sticker says this cost me $945.00. Kinda pricey for a bit of chrome, I think.

My truck has chrome bumpers. Other than that I can see nothing that would be part of an appearance package, or anything that would be a part of a Preferred Equipment Package.

I also have upgraded Michelin tires on stock 17" wheels. The tire upgrade added $325.00 to the sticker price.

I also got a 3.55 Limited Slip axle for $300.00, ElectroniC 4-Speed Auto trans ($1095.00), and Air Conditioning, which has no price listed on the sticker.

Other than that it appears to be a bottom-of-the-line F-150. AM/FM, no CD player, no cruise, manual windows and door locks, plain gray wheels, black grill, black door handles, cloth seats, 145" wheelbase styleside, 4.2L V-6.

My main concern is the XL Decor Group. I kinda wonder if upgraded wheels might have been part of that package, and someone swapped out some stock wheels for them before I took delivery.

This is exactly what is listed under OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT

PREFERRED EQUIPMENT PKG. 502A
.FLOOR CARPET DELETE
ELECTRONIC 4SPD AUTO O/D 1,095.00
P255/65RX17 OWL ALL-SEASON 325.00
3.55 RATIO LIMITED SLIP AXLE 300.00
6650# GVWR PACKAGE
XL DECOR GROUP 945.00
.AIR CONDITIONING

Manual A/C (Regular Cab)
Chrome Front and Rear Bumpers
Cloth 20/40/20 Front Seat

I think you got exactly what you paid for. An xl is a no frills truck.

Cool. Just what I wanted - a white and shiny work truck. Thanks for the info.

I bought the xl instead of the xlt and saved 5000 on the ford wheels which I did not like the style and spent $550 and bought the wheels I did like. You can dress up an xl anyway you like instead of ford doing in for you at 3 times the price

502A is the XL package - not sure why it says carpet delete, vinyl floors I believe are standard in the XL
6650 GVWR is just what it is, the gross vehicle weight rating - every truck has one of these, but there are different one's based on truck configuration
XL Decor - read fireman28's post
Plus, your tire option was for size, not specifically for Michelins. The order guide shows Michelins or Continentals, be thankful you didn't get the Conti's...
