Mid-Fifty Bolt-in Seat Belt Mounts Headache

Has anyone installed the Mid-Fifty Bolt-in Seat Belt Mounts for the shoulder belt set for bench seats on a '53 -55? The pieces are designed to fit behind the door pillar and the flange surrounding the rear window and fit with bolts. Trouble is I can't squeeze them in behind both the door pillar and the window flange. One or the other but not both at once. Anyone ever done this? (They're shown on page 15 of the latest catalog).
Thanks for any bright ideas.

real close i used banding strap like what would be used to hold stuff on palllets i riveted two pieces together drilled a hole in both pieces then put a bolt in the lowest hole and left the upper hole empty that way you can put the bolt in the hole and use the upper hole to locate where to drill

I put them in without problem (well, on the two flanges at least)..

but they are supposed to fit/sit 'behind' the cross bar, and on my truck they can't/won't. I welded mine in, cause on the window ledge they are supported only by the 90 lip of the window frame.

Don't bolt them flush to the lips. I shimmed them away about 1/4" so my interior would fit behind the lips. Rod...
